  1. Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

  2. 3/4 cup butter, softened

  3. 3/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar

  4. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  5. 1 egg

  6. 2 tbsp water

  7. 2 tsp vanilla

  8. 3/4 cup all purpose flour

  9. 3/4 tsp baking soda

  10. 1 tsp cinnamon

  11. 3 cups rolled oats

  12. 1 1/2 cups raisins

  13. Cream butter, sugars, egg, water and vanilla together on medium

  14. speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy. Combine flour,

  15. soda and cinnamon.

  16. Add to creamed mixture, beating on low speed until blended.

  17. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto

  18. greased baking sheets. Press flat for crisp cookies, leave mounded

  19. for chewy cookies.

  20. 350 F (180C) for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are golden

  21. brown. Don't over bake. Makes about 30 cookies.
