  1. Marinade:

  2. 1/2 tablespoon sugar

  3. 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce or 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  4. 1-2 tablespoons cornflour, mixed with

  5. 1 tablespoon water

  6. 6 boneless pork chops, pounded evenly

  7. Sauce:

  8. 150ml water

  9. 1 teaspoon chicken stock granules

  10. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  11. 1/2 tablespoon black soy sauce

  12. 1 tablespoon groundnut oil

  13. 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic

  14. 1 medium onion, chopped

  15. 1 teaspoon salt

  16. 1/2 green pepper, chopped

  17. 2 tablespoons black pepper

  18. 2 tablespoons cornflour, mixed with

  19. 1 tablespoon of water

  20. 1 tablespoon honey

  1. Make the marinade by mixing together the sugar, salt, soy sauce and cornflour slurry. Mix in the pork chops, let marinate for 20 minutes.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the water, chicken stock granules, oyster sauce and black soy sauce to make the sauce. Set aside.

  3. Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Pan-fry the pork chops until brown on both sides, 3-5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the pork chops are done, 3-5 minutes more. Set aside.

  4. Heat the same frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir-fry the garlic and black pepper until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Add the onions with 1 teaspoon salt and fry until soft, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the green pepper and sauce, heat through, 1-2 minutes. Add the cornflour slurry and stir until the sauce is thickened. Turn off the heat and add the honey and pork chops, mix well and serve.
