  2. 1 cup raw spanish peanuts

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. 1/2 cup karo syrup

  5. 1 dash salt

  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  7. 1 tablespoon butter

  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  1. Mix sugar, peanuts and syrup together. Microwave on HIGH for 8 minutes, add vanilla and butter. Continue cooking on HIGH 2 1/2 minutes. Mixture should be darkened. Add baking soda and stir quickly. Quickly pour out on a lightly greased cookie sheet or aluminum foil. Spread thin. Let cool. Break into pieces.
