  1. 3 to 4 lg. apples

  2. 1 c. sugar

  3. 1/2 c. flour plus

  4. 2 tbsp.

  5. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

  6. 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

  7. 2 tbsp. lemon juice

  8. 1/2 c. butter

  1. Peel, core, and slice apples. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples and mix until coated. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup flour; cut in 1/2 cup butter. Spread over apples. Place in heavy brown paper sack. Fold ends and fasten. Place on cookie sheet and cook in 425 degree oven for 1 hour.
