  1. 1/2 c Butter

  2. 1/2 c Coconut, flaked

  3. 1 ts Vanilla

  4. 3 Egg whites, stiffly beaten

  5. 1/2 Lemon - juice of

  6. 2 Egg yolks

  7. 1 c Almond paste or filling

  8. 1 c Sugar

  9. 1 c Cake flour, sifted

  10. 1 Egg yolk

  11. 1 Egg

  12. 1/2 c Sugar

  13. 1 13 x 9" x

  14. 2" pan.

  1. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

  2. Mix sugar, plus one egg yolk and cake flour.

  3. Beat until well blended.

  4. Spread in a almond paste or filling, 2 egg yolks and lemon juice in electric mixer until blended.

  5. Fold in egg whites and vanilla.

  6. Spread over baked crust and sprinkle flaked coconut over top.

  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

  8. Cool and cut into bars.
