  1. 1/2 cup ( 1 stick ) unsalted butter , room temperature

  2. 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter - YUM!!

  3. 1 cup packed brown sugar

  4. 1 egg

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  6. 1 cup all purpose flour

  7. 1 cup wheat germ

  8. 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats

  9. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  10. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon - (my added ingredient)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F In mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter and brown sugar until light & fluffy.

  2. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the flour, wheat germ,oats, baking soda and salt.

  4. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.

  5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.

  6. Use the bottom of a drinking glass in water to flatten the cookies.

  7. Bake 8 - 10 minutes until lightly browned Cool a few minutes on the sheet, then transfer with spatula to a wire rack and cool completely **
