  1. 1/2 cup light corn syrup

  2. 2/3 cup brown sugar

  3. 1/8 cup butter

  4. 1/2 cup whole milk

  5. 3 drops red food coloring

  1. Mix all ingredients in pan and cook at a slow boil stirring constantly. Cook until forms a soft ball when placed in cold water or about 30 to 40 minutes at around 240 degrees F. When forms a soft ball in water, remove from heat and pour into a square Pyrex dish do that it's about an 1/8 of an inch thick. Let cool.

  2. Once cooled cut into strips 5-10 inches long and 1/8 of an inch thick. Twist each strip tightly, and form them into spirals.
