  1. 4 oranges , pips removed, finely sliced (with rind)

  2. 2 lemons , pips removed, finely sliced (with rind)

  3. 1 peach , peeled and sliced

  4. 1 apple , peeled and sliced

  5. 1 pear , peeled and sliced

  6. 125g/1/2 cup sugar

  7. 125ml/ 4 oz brandy

  8. 625ml/ 3 cups red wine

  9. 625ml/ 3 cups white wine

  10. champagne

  11. lots of ice cubes

  1. Sprinkle fruit with brandy and sugar. Leave overnight in punch bowl or large jug.

  2. Next day, add wine, champagne or soda water. Top with plenty of ice.

  3. Serve in jug or let everyone help themselves from punch bowl.

  4. Perfect with tapas or nachos for starters!
