  1. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Butter or margarine softened

  2. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Granulated sugar

  3. 3/4 cup 148g / 5 1/5oz Peanut butter

  4. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Egg (large)

  5. 1 1/4 cups 78g / 2.8oz Unbleached all-purpose flour

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Baking soda

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground cinnamon

  8. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground nutmeg

  9. 1 cup 237ml Applesauce

  1. Recipe Instructions Cream the butter. Gradually add the granulated sugar, blending well. Add the peanut butter and egg and blend well. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, mixing well. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the applesauce. Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for about 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool, in the pan, for 10 minutes and cut into squares.
