  1. 1 1/2 cups chopped coconut

  2. 10-12 g green chilies

  3. 2 cm long ginger

  4. 4 garlic pods

  5. 1 tbsp salt

  6. 6 tbsps coriander leaves

  7. 1 tbsp lemon juice

  1. Grind all the ingredients above at low speed. Add water slowly and continue running the grinder at medium speed and then high speed. Keep stirring. Remove and serve.

  2. Note: A little quantity of fried chana dal (bengal gram - split) or cashew nut can be added before grinding. If required, fry with a little mustard, chana dal (bengal gram - split), curry leaves and asafetida in ghee. Use as topping for the chutney.
