  1. 12 corn tortillas

  2. oil for frying

  3. 227 g chorizo sausage

  4. 227 g lean ground beef

  5. 1 1/2 cups chopped onion

  6. 1/4 tsp. salt

  7. 896 g canned refried beans

  8. 2 fresh jalapenos, stemmed and chopped

  9. 336 g grated monterey jack cheese

  10. 3/4 cup prepared taco sauce

  11. 1/4 cup chopped green onion

  12. 1 avocado, pitted, peeled and mashed

  13. 1 cup sour cream

  1. Cut tortillas into wedges and fry in hot oil until crisp. Remove skin from sausage and crumble into a skillet. Add beef and onion and cook until meat is well browned. Drain grease and add salt. Spread beans in a 10x15 baking dish. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle with jalapenos and grated cheese. Drizzle taco sauce over. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees about 20 to 25 minutes until heated through. Sprinkle with green onion. Mound avocado in center and place dollops of sour cream over. Place fried tortilla wedges around wedges. Serve warm.
