  7. 1/2 cup 118ml Wheat germ

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Baking soda

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  10. 3/4 cup 69g / 2.4oz Coconut

  11. 1/3 cup 48g / 1.7oz Walnuts - chopped

  12. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Raisins

  1. Recipe Instructions In a medium bowl, cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add egg, milk and molasses. Stir together flour, wheat germ, soda, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in coconut, walnuts and raisins. Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 13 minutes. This recipe yields 15 cookies.
