  2. ROMANO'S REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CAKE

  6. 3/4 c Unsalted butter

  7. 3/4 c Creamy style peanut butter

  8. 2 c Packed brown sugar

  9. 3 Eggs

  10. 2 c Unsifted all purpose flour

  11. 1 tb Baking powder

  12. 1/2 ts Salt

  13. 1 c Milk

  14. Peanut Butter Filling:

  15. 1 c Cream cheese, softened

  16. 1/2 c Creamy style peanut butter

  17. Chocolate Glaze:

  18. 1/2 c Water

  19. 4 tb Unsalted butter

  20. 1/2 c Cocoa

  21. 1 c Unsifted powdered sugar

  22. 1 t Vanilla

  23. 350 degrees. Grease and flour

  24. 2 9 cake pans.

  25. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add brown sugar. Mix to blend. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing

  26. well after each addition.

  27. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to

  28. butter and peanut butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add vanilla.

  29. Pour batter into pans. Bake until cake tests done, about 45 minutes. Cool

  30. on wire rack to room temperature before frosting the cake.

  31. Spread half of Peanut Butter Filling over tops of each cake. Chill.

  32. Spread half of warm Chocolate Glaze over peanut butter topping on each cake, using metal spatula dipped in hot water. As glaze cools, it will

  33. thicken.

  34. Peanut Butter Filling: Cream ingredients together until light and fluffy.

  35. Chocolate Glaze: Place water and butter in small saucepan. Bring to boil.

  36. Add cocoa, sugar and vanilla to water mixture. Mix until smooth.

  37. NOTE: This recipe will make two 9 inch cakes or one stacked layer cake. If

  38. making the stacked layer cake, the Peanut Butter Filling should be put

  39. between the layers and on top of the cake before topping it with the

  40. Chocolate Glaze.
