  1. Cook and mash enough potatoes for your need. Saute ground beef with onions, salt and pepper. Put half of the mashed potatoes in baking dish. Spread a layer of meat mixture on top. Put on another layer of potatoes, then meat. Bake in 425 degree oven for 15 or 20 minutes, until piping hot. (Mashed turnips may be mixed with potatoes if desired.)
