  1. 8 cups sliced onion s

  2. 10 Tbs butter

  3. 4 Tbs flour

  4. 2 cups milk

  5. 1 tsp dry mustard

  6. salt and pepper

  7. thinly sliced (velveta) cheddar cheese

  8. wheat germ

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Saute the onions in 6 Tbs of the butter until they’re limp. Use the remainder of the butter, flour, milk, and mustard to make a white sauce.

  3. Grease a 2 quart baking pan. Put a layer of the onions in the bottom of the pan, followed by a layer of the white sauce. Continue until both are used up. Place the sliced cheese and sprinkle the top with wheat germ. Bake for 30-45 minutes.
