  1. 1 cup all-purpose unbleached flour

  2. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  3. 1 dash sea salt

  4. 1/2 cup butter, softened

  5. 1/4 cup sugar

  6. 1 teaspoon almond extract

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, cardamom, and salt. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Stir in the almond extract.

  2. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well. Form into a ball and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Form the dough into one-inch balls and roll in sugar.

  5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a cookie stamp (or the back of a fork if you dont have a stamp). Bake until lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
