  1. 4 1/2 cups 1066ml Baking apples - sliced/peeled

  2. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Water

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Butter or margarine

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground cinnamon

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground nutmeg

  6. 1 Peach gelatin

  7. 1 Vanilla pudding mix - (cook and serve)

  8. 9 Pastry shell - baked

  9. Topping

  10. 1/4 cup 36g / 1 1/3oz Graham cracker crumbs

  11. 1 tablespoon 15ml Butter or margarine - melted

  12. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Sugar

  1. In a large saucepan, combine apples, water, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes or until the apples are tender.

  3. Gradually stir in gelatin and pudding mix. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Pour into pie shell.

  4. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over filling. Chill for 3-4 hours or until firm.
