  1. 1 lb. ground beef

  2. 1 egg

  3. 1/2 c. oatmeal

  4. 1/2 c. salsa

  5. 1 medium mild pepper chopped

  6. 1/4 c. onion chopped

  7. 2 garlic cloves chopped

  8. 5 American cheese slices

  9. 5 Multi-grain sandwich thins Salt & pepper to taste

  1. Chop all the vegetables and add to remaining ingredients in bowl. Mix gently and make into five equal size patties. Grill for 8 minutes total on broiler or inside grill (George Foreman used). Serve on 5 multi-grain sandwich thins. Yield: serves 5 Notes: This is a great recipe for when you have a pound of beef and no idea what to do with it, using things you probably already have on hand.
