  1. RODGROD MED FLODE (NORWEGIAN FRUIT JELLY)

  2. 1 pt red currants

  3. 1 pt raspberries

  4. 2 cups water

  5. 1/2 cup sugar

  6. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  7. 2 tablespoons water

  8. 1 t vanilla extract

  9. In a large saucepan, rinse fruit. Combine fruit and water; simmer

  10. over medium heat about 10 minutes. Drain; stir in sugar. Blend

  11. cornstarch and cold water into a smooth paste. Add cornstarch to

  12. fruit, stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a boil; cook 3 minutes.

  13. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Sieve mixture, if desired.

  14. Chill. Serve with cream and decorate with blanched almonds, if

  15. desired. Makes 4 servings
