  1. 2 tb Bacon fat

  2. 3 tb Flour

  3. 1 qt Of boiling water

  1. half a can of milk onion, optional Place 2 tbsp bacon fat and the 3 tbsp flour into a saucepan and stir over a medium fire until the flour is golden brown.

  2. Than add 1 quart of boiling water and half a can of milk, stirring in slowly until smooth and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. An onion may be added to improve the flavor.
