  2. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  3. 1/4 cup sugar

  4. 1/4 cup brown sugar

  5. 2 tablespoons macadamia nuts -- chopped

  6. 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

  7. 2 1/2 tablespoons chilled butter -- cut in small pieces

  8. 5 cups thinly sliced apples

  9. 2 tablespoons apricot preserves

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, macadamia nuts, and cinnamon.Stir together. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two forks, until mixture resembles coarse meal. Set aside.

  2. In a pregreased 8 inch baking dish, arrange apple slices. Drop apricot preserves atop apple slices by the teaspoonfuls. Sprinkle the flour mixture over the top. Bake until golden and bubbly (35 minutes).

  3. Note: This is an easy and lowfat dessert, great for winter nights. If you like, serve with frozen yogurt or ice cream.
