  2. CRANBERRY BUNDT CAKE

  6. 1 c Sugar

  7. 3/4 c Shortening

  8. 2 Eggs

  9. 2 c Flour

  10. 1/4 ts Salt

  11. 1/4 ts Baking powder

  12. 1 t Baking soda

  13. 1 c Buttermilk

  14. 1 t Orange flavoring

  15. 1 c Whole cranberries

  16. 1 c Chopped dates

  17. 1 c Chopped nuts

  18. Thoroughly cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients

  19. together and add alternately with buttermilk. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

  20. Add remaining ingredients. Spoon into well greased bundt cake pan. Bake at

  21. 350 degrees for about one hour or until it tests done. Let stand in pan for 15 minutes before turning out on plate.

  22. Cake can be glazed with a thin powdered sugar icing which has been flavored

  23. 1 cup sugar,

  24. 1 cup orange juice

  25. and 1/4 ts orange flavoring; bring to boil and pour over cake while warm.

  26. Let set several hours before serving.
