    3. 4 tablespoons sugar

    4. 1 egg, beaten light

    5. 1 3/4 cups flour

    6. 4 teaspoons baking powder

    7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

    8. 3/4 cup milk

    2. Add the egg, milk, flour, baking powder, and salt.

    3. Beat thoroughly.

    4. Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven in well-greased floured muffin tins. .
