  1. 12 small new red potatoes, scrubbed and halved

  2. 1 cup Ranch-style salad dressing

  3. 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese

  4. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Place potatoes in a large saucepan over medium heat, and cover with water. Bring to a boil, and cook 10 minutes, or until tender; drain.

  3. Place cooked potatoes on an ungreased cookie sheet with the cut side up. Spread a spoonful of dressing on the top of each potato half. Sprinkle with cheese, and lightly dust with pepper.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
