  1. RODGROT MED FLOTE

  2. (Norwegian Berry Pudding with Cream)

  3. 1 1/2 pounds fresh raspberries, strawberries, or a combination

  4. 2 cups water

  5. 1/2 cup sugar

  6. 3 tblsp cornstarch

  7. 1 pint light cream Slivered almonds

  8. Wash and drain berries (or defrost and save liquid). There should

  9. 2 1/2 cups total. If fresh, add

  10. 2 cups of water and cook until

  11. berries are soft. Add sugar. Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons

  12. cold water. Add a small amount of berry juice, mix well and stir

  13. into berry mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until pudding

  14. thickens. Reduce heat, cook 10 minutes. Turn into serving dish.

  15. Let stand until cold. When serving, decorate with slivered almonds,

  16. passed around the table, followed by a pitcher of cream.
