  6. 2 tablespoons cornflour

  7. 2 tablespoons water

  8. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  9. 1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

  10. 1 teaspoon vegetable oil ** Sauce **

  11. 120ml water

  12. 225ml chicken stock

  13. 3 or 4 tablespoons white vinegar or rice wine vinegar (depending on how sweet you want the sauce)

  14. 4 tablespoons cornflour

  15. 225g sugar

  16. 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  17. 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  18. 1 teaspoon chilli paste (or more)

  19. 1 garlic clove (minced) ** Frying **

  20. 800ml peanut oil ** Serving **

  21. 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
