  2. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Sugar

  3. 2 tablespoons 30ml Fresh lemon juice

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  5. 4 cups 948ml Sliced seasonal fruit, including plums, Strawberries, blackberries, and/or Nectarines

  1. Recipe Instructions In a small saucepan combine water, sugar and lemon juice and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, and boil until sugar is dissolved. Cool syrup to room temperature and stir in vanilla. In a bowl combine fruit and syrup and chill until cold. Compote may be made 4 hours ahead and chilled, covered. This recipe yields about 4 cups of compote.
