  1. 1 cup butter -- softened

  2. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  3. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  4. 2 tablespoons milk

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  6. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  8. 3/4 cup finely chopped gumdrops

  1. Preparation : Cream together butter and sugars, beat in milk and vanilla. Stir together flour and baking powder, blend into creamed mixture. Stir in grumdrops. Shape dough into two 14-inch rolls. Wrap in waxed paper or clear plastic wrap. Chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/4-inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 about 10 minutes. Makes 9 dozen
