  1. 2 c Red kidney bean

  2. 3 qt Water

  3. 1 ts Turmeric

  4. 1 tb Salt

  5. 1/4 c Oil

  6. 1 c Chopped onion

  7. 1 Inch ginger chopped

  8. 1 ts Garam Masala

  9. 3 Tomatoes chopped

  10. 1. Wash beans and boil for 2 - 3 hours or 1/2 hour in a pressure cooker.

  11. 2. In the meantime make masala of onions, garlic, ginger and tomato as in

  12. chicken curry. 3. Add to the beans and cook again till most of the liquid dries up and the

  13. beans are soft and thoroughly cooked. 4. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
