  1. 1 small onion, diced

  2. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  3. 2 tablespoons butter

  4. 1/2 cup fresh soft bread crumbs

  5. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  6. 1 egg

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

  9. 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey

  10. 6 slices Muenster cheese

  11. 2 tomatoes, thickly sliced

  12. 6 lettuce leaves

  13. 6 whole wheat sandwich buns, split and toasted

  14. 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  15. 1/4 cup creamy Dijon mustard spread

  1. In small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until very tender. Place in large bowl and cool 10 minutes. Add bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and pepper and mix well. Work in turkey with your hands until combined. Form into six patties. Refrigerate patties 2-3 hours. Grill or saute until done, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F. Top with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese melts. Assemble burgers with tomatoes, lettuce, buns, mayonnaise, and creamy Dijon mustard spread.
