  7. 3/4 c Granulated sugar

  8. 2 ts Lemon zest

  9. 5 Whole cloves

  10. 4 Whole allspice

  11. 3 Sticks cinnamon

  12. 6 c Fresh fruit

  13. -strawberries, blueberries

  14. Apricots, plums, pineapple

  15. -slices, peaches and Mangos)

  16. Sorbet, ice cream or whipped

  20. *DIRECTIONS* In medium saucepan, mix chenin blanc,

  21. sugar, lemon zest, cloves, allspice, and cinnamon.

  22. Heat, stirring, until mixture reaches boiling point

  23. and sugar is dissolved. Cool. Layer fruit in

  24. attractive clear glass serving bowl. Pour wine mixture

  25. over fruit. Cover and chill. Remove whole spices.

  26. Spoon into chilled stemmed balloon glasses. Top with

  27. sorbet, ice cream, or lightly whipped cream if desired.
