  1. 2 c milk

  2. 2 (1 oz) squares of Baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate

  3. 1/4 c corn starch

  4. 1 c sugar (mix sugar with corn starch) dash salt (add to milk and chocolate)

  5. 3 egg yolks, beaten

  6. 1 T butter

  7. 1 t vanilla

  1. In double boiler melt milk and chocolate with salt. When chocolate is melted add sugar/cornstarch mixture. Cook until thickens. Add yolks. Add butter and vanilla. Put in pie crust. Meringue: 3 egg whites ½ t vanilla¼ t cream of tartar 6 T sugar Put meringue on top and bake 350 for 10-15 minutes until meringue browns.
