    1. 16 oz medium shell pasta

    2. 3/4 cup mayonnaise

    3. 3 Tbs orange juice

    4. 2 Tbs vinegar (preferably red wine)

    5. 1 Tbs grated orange zest

    6. 2 tsp fennel seeds lightly crushed

    7. 1 tsp salt

    8. 1/4 tsp pepper

    9. 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved, about 3 cups

    10. 3 ribs celery, chopped

    11. 1 1/2 cups

    12. 1 green pepper, chopped

    13. 1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced

    14. 3 scallions, chopped (about 1/3 cup)

    15. 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced

    16. 12 servings according to the magazine. Since most of us have a heartier appetite, I would estimate about 8 servings. Serve on a lettuce leaf for pizzazz.
