  6. 1 c Butter or margarine;

  7. -softened

  8. 1 c Sugar

  9. 1/2 c Corn syrup

  10. 1 ts Cinnamon

  11. 1 ts Nutmeg

  12. 1 ts Ground cloves

  13. 1 ts Ground ginger

  14. 2 Eggs; beaten

  15. 1 ts Vinegar

  16. 5 c Flour

  17. 1 ts Baking soda

  18. Red hot candies

  20. In a large saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, corn syrup and spices;

  21. bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and cool to

  22. lukewarm. Stir in eggs and vinegar. Combine the flour and baking soda;

  23. stir into sugar mixture to form a soft dough. Chill for several hours. On a

  24. lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with a

  25. floured 2 - 1/2 inch gingerbread man cookie cutter and place on greased

  26. 350 for 8 -

  27. minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: about 6 dozen. Source:
