  5. 1/2 c Cream

  6. 2 ea Egg

  7. 1 tb Sugar

  8. 1 ts Salt

  9. 4 tb Vinegar

  10. 1/4 c Butter

  11. 1 x Paprika

  12. 1 x Pepper

  13. 4 ea Sl Bacon, thick

  14. 1 x Dandelion

  15. Carefully wash and prepare the dandelion as you would

  16. lettuce. Roll in cloth and pat dry. Then put into a

  17. salad bowl and place in warm place. Cut bacon in small

  18. pieces, fry quickly and drop over the dandelions. Put

  19. the butter and cream into a skillet and melt over a

  20. slow fire. Beat eggs, add salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar and mix with slightly warm cream mixture. Pour

  21. into skillet and under increased heat, stir until

  22. dressing becomes thick like custard. Take off and pour

  23. piping hot over dandelion. Stir thoroughly. Never use

  24. dandelion after it has begun to flower, for then it is
