  1. 2 pie crusts

  2. 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  3. 1 can (12 oz.) frozen apple juice, thawed & undiluted

  4. 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  5. Dash of nutmeg

  6. Dash of salt

  7. 6 c. sliced, cored & peeled yellow delicious apples (about 4 lg. apples), can also use red delicious apples

  8. 2 tbsp. butter

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In medium sized saucepan, whisk together cornstarch and apple juice until well blended. Add spices and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to boil and becomes thick. Remove from heat.

  2. Arrange apples in bottom of pie crust. Spoon sauce over all. Top with pieces of butter. Place top crust over apples and make 2 or 3 slits about one inch long in top crust. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
