  1. 110 g dark chocolate

  2. 335 g unsalted butter

  3. 2 eggs , lightly beaten

  4. 65 g caster sugar

  5. 50 g cocoa powder

  6. 400 g plain all-butter biscuits , broken by hand into 1cm pieces

  1. Chocolate biscuit cake Method 1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a microwave oven or in a heatproof bowl over hot water. Allow to cool, then add the eggs, sugar and cocoa powder and stir well. Gently mix in the biscuit.

  2. Line a loaf tin with cling film and pour in the mixture, pressing it down slightly. Chill in a refrigerator for at least 6 hours or preferably overnight. Serve with whipped cream or any other topping of your choice.
