  1. 1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef soup meat

  2. 3 1/2 qt. water

  3. 2 1/2 Tbsp. salt

  4. Dash of pepper

  5. 1 can (No. 2) stewed tomatoes

  6. 1 large onion, diced

  7. 3 carrots, diced

  8. 1/2 cup dried green peas

  9. 1/2 cup dried yellow peas

  1. Cut and trim meat into pieces. Drop into the water; do not brown. Add rest of the ingredients and let come to a boil Simmer in covered pot for 4 hours. Makes a large amount.
