  2. ALAMO CHILI

  6. 2 lb Stew meat

  7. 1 md Onion

  8. 1 cn Tomato sauce

  9. 2 Cloves garlic

  10. 2 tb Of chili powder

  11. 2 Jalapeno chili's

  12. 2 c Pinto beans

  13. Salt and pepper to taste

  14. Trim the fat from the stew meat, cut into bite sized

  15. chunks and brown it. Chop the onion and the jalapeno

  16. chili. Smash the garlic. Throw every thing but the

  17. beans into a pot, add water and simmer until meat is

  18. tender.

  19. Put the beans into a pot with water and bring to a

  20. boil, turn the heat down and simmer till the beans are

  21. done.

  22. Eat the chili and stomp the hell out of the beans.

  23. Don't confuse this with "Rebel Chile" which also has

  24. the beans stomped out of it.

  25. I brought this recipe back from Mexico and it was

  26. said to be the one that Mexico used when they taught

  27. Texans how to make chili at the Alamo. I understand that to this day Texans do not put beans in chili.
