  1. 1 c Butter

  2. 1 tb Ginger

  3. 1 c Sugar

  4. 1 ts Soda

  5. 1 c Molasses

  6. 1 ts Salt

  7. 3 1/2 c Flour

  1. Cream butter; add sugar, and cream until smooth. Add molasses. Sift flour with ginger, soda and salt. Add to first mixture. Form into balls the size of a small walnut. Place on greased cookie sheets. Flatten with the back of a tablespoon. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen. Helen Jolly --
