  1. 1/3 cup bulgur

  2. 2 teaspoons olive oil

  3. 4 cups onions sliced

  4. 2 teaspoons sugar

  5. 2 teaspoons vinegar balsamic

  6. 1 package harvest burger

  7. 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  8. 1/4 cup parsley leaves chopped

  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  10. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

  11. 4 each hamburger buns split, toasted*

  1. In a small bowl, combine bulgur with 1/2 cup warm water; let stand for 30 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the bulgur is tender.

  2. Prepare the Harvest Burger in a medium bowl.

  3. Set aside while it absorbs water.

  4. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over low heat.

  5. Add onions and sugar; sauté until the onions are very tender and golden, about 15 minutes.

  6. Stir in 1/4 cup water and vinegar.

  7. Season with salt and keep warm.

  8. Prepare a grill or preheat the broiler.

  9. Combine the Harvest Burger and bulgar in the same bowl.

  10. Add tomato paste, parsley, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly but lightly.

  11. Shape into 8 patties. Grill or broil on a lightly oiled rack until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.

  12. Place the patties on buns, top with the caramelized onions, and garnish with lettuce.
