  8. 2 Cups Dried lima beans

  9. 3 Pounds Flanken

  10. 3 Each Onions -- sliced

  11. 3/4 Cup Fat

  12. 3 Each Potatoes -- peeled and halved

  13. 3 Teaspoons Salt

  14. 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper

  15. 2 Each Eggs

  16. 2 Teaspoons Sugar

  17. 1/4 Cup Water

  18. 3/4 Cup Matzo Or Cracker Meal

  19. Soak the beans overnight in water to cover. Drain. Use a Dutch oven

  20. or baking dish and brown the meat and onions in 1/4 cup fat. Add the

  21. potatoes and 2 teaspoons salt and the pepper. Beat the eggs, sugar,

  22. remaining fat and remaining salt together. Stir in the water and meal.

  23. Form into a ball and place in the baking dish with other ingredients. Add

  24. 250 degree oven

  25. 350 degree oven

  26. 4 to 5 hours. Serves
