  1. White Chocolate Chip Cookies with Macadamia Nuts

  2. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  3. 1/3 cup sugar

  4. 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

  5. 1 egg

  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  7. 1 cup all-purpose flour

  8. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  9. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  10. 6 1/2 ounces white chocolate, chopped

  11. 3/4 cup macadamia nuts, halved

  12. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla

  13. until fluffy, stopping once to scrape down sides of bowl, about 1

  14. minute. Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until just combined.

  15. Do not overmix. Stir in white chocolate chunks and nuts. Mound

  16. dough by 1/3 cupfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. space about 2 inches apart. Bake at

  17. 375 degrees until lightly brown around

  18. 15 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes, then

  19. remove to racks and cool completely. Store in air-tight container.

  20. Can be prepared ahead, store cookies up to 4 days at room temperature

  21. or freeze 3 weeks.
