  2. 1/2 cup grated Romano and or Parmesan cheese

  3. 4-6 cloves fresh garlic

  4. 1/4 cup pine nut s

  1. Using blender or food processor, grate ½ cup of cheese; add 1 cup of washed basil leaves. Then add ⅛ cup of olive oil, followed by garlic and pine nuts. Allow each ingredient to blend smoothly with the preceding ones, and let stand for 1 hour. Refrigerate and/or freeze your pesto sauce. Use it with pasta, salads, meat, fish, and poultry.
