  1. Crisps:

  2. 2 prepared frozen

  3. 9 inch pie crusts, thawed

  4. all purpose flour for rolling

  5. 2 tbsp. sugar

  6. 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

  7. Dip:

  8. 6 medium granny smith apples, peeled and chopped

  9. 3/4 cup sugar

  10. 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

  11. 1/4 cup butter

  12. 1/4 cup all purpose flour

  13. 1 cup cold water

  1. For Crisps:

  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Stir together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over dough. Cut into shapes with floured 2 1/2 inch diameter Halloween-shaped cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 4 to 6 minutes until lightly browned. Cool completely on a rack.

  3. For Dip:

  4. Heat butter in a large skillet. Add apples, sugar and cinnamon and cook until apples are tender. Stir together flour and water until smooth. Add to skillet and heat to a boil. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes until thickened. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve warm with crisps.
