  1. 2 Tomato

  2. Fennel seeds one tsp(Sombu)

  3. Bengal gram dhal two tsp

  4. Urad dhal two tsp

  5. Garlic 1 (2 flakes)

  6. Red chillies 7-8

  7. Curry leaves a few

  8. corriander leaves

  9. 100 gms shallots (Small onion)

  10. one onion (big)

  11. Salt to taste

  1. Season fennel seeds, bengal gram dhal, urad dhal and add red chillies.

  2. To this add garlic and onions and saute well till onion becomes golden brown.

  3. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves.

  4. Now add cut tomatoes and saute well for two minutes.

  5. Add salt and allow to cool and grind it in to chutney by adding required water.

  6. Serve with hot idlis and dosas.
