  1. 2 medium oranges

  2. 1 ripe mango

  3. 1 firm-ripe avocado

  4. 1 ripe papaya

  5. 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)

  6. 2 tablespoons honey

  7. 1 teaspoon ground red chile powder

  1. Peel away the rind and the white pith (which tastes bitter) from the oranges and then cut them crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Help your child peel and slice the mango, avocado, and papaya. Arrange the slices in a decorative pattern on a platter. In a bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, and chile powder, if you like. Drizzle the dressing over the fruit. Serve at room temperature. Makes 6 servings.
