  1. 1/2 pound hops

  2. 1 gallon water

  3. 1/2 pound fine malt powder

  1. In one gallon of water boil the hops for half an hour. Strain and stir in the m alt flour. Then strain this mixture through a coarse cloth and boil for about 1 0 minutes. Let the mixture rest until lukewarm, then stir in the brown sugar. R emove mixture to a jug and keep in a warm place for working. Cap tightly and st ore in a cool place for future baking use.
