  1. 5-6 firm cooking apples

  2. 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  3. 10-12 teaspoons sugar

  4. 1 teaspoon brandy per apple

  5. 1/4 cup water

  6. 6 brandied cherries per apple

  1. Instructions Cut the blossom end off each apple and scoop out the core. Fill each apple with chopped pecans, sugar, and brandy. Put apples in a pan with a little water and bake on low until done, but not out of shape. Just before serving, press brandied cherries down into each apple. .
