  1. 6 large green bell pepper s

  2. 1 lb hamburger meat

  3. 1/2 yellow onion , chopped

  4. 1 teaspoon salt

  5. 2 garlic cloves chopped (can substitute garlic salt)

  6. 1 cup cooked rice

  7. 1 small can tomato sauce

  8. 1 small can tomato paste

  9. 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  1. Remove seeds and membranes from bell peppers, rinse. Cook peppers in enough boiling water to cover 5 minutes; drain.

  2. Cook and stir hamburger, onion and garlic in skillet until hamburger is light brown; drain. Stir in salt, rice and ¾ of tomato sauce and all of tomato paste. Heat through.

  3. Stuff each pepper with hamburger mixture; stand upright in an un-greased baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers, cover; cook in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese and cook 15 minutes longer.
